Can We Abuse a Person After his Death?

Saudi King Shah Abdullah passed away on Friday Morning at age of 91 after which his brother Sulman became the new King of Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is considered one of the most Important Muslim country having huge Influence on Muslims world which makes Saudi King a really Important person.

this is the biggest news of today and also getting discussed on the social media by the Muslims around the world. I am seeing two types of views by the Muslim world on his death. 1st type of people who are sad on his death and praying for him while second type of people who hate him. they are abusing him and celebrating his death.

lets keep this thing aside if King Abdullah was a good man or not and see what our religion guides us? can we curse a person after his death no matter he was good or bad?
Narrated 'Ayesha R.a The Prophet Muhammad SAW said, "Don't abuse the dead, because they have reached the result of what they forwarded."
In light of this hadith we cannot abuse or curse a person who has passed away. leave his matter on Allah SWT who is the best judge.

Now I would like to share views of famous scholar Sheikh Yasir Qadhi on this issue:

Importance of Visiting the Sick in Islam

Islam teaches us different manners of life to make us good human being. It guides us about each and every matter about living our life. it guides about our duties as well as our rights. Visiting the sick is also an Important manner which Islam has taught us. its the Sunnah our our beloved Rasool Muhammad SAW to visit the person who is sick and make dua for him.

Some scholars are of the view that its a  fard kifaayah and other says its a Sunnah. If the person who is sick is a non muslim you can also visit him. there is nothing wrong in doing so.

Here are some Hadiths on Importance of seeing the sick:
Hazrat Abu Musa (R.A.) reports that the Prophet (pbuh) said, 'Visit the sick, feed the hungry and free the one who is imprisoned unjustly.' [Sahih Bukhaari]
'The best type of visit to a sick person is when the visitor gets up to leave without delay.' [Bayhaqi]
when you visit the sick person you should care about his rest. don't stay for too long. don't speak too loud.

Following is dua which Prophet Muhammad SAW used to recite for the sick person:
Adhhib al-bas Rabb an-naas, washfi anta al-Shaafi, laa shifaaa illa shifaauka shifaaan laa yughaadir saqaman

8 Things Which Reduces Faith (Imaan)

Having strong Faith (Imaan) is a very Important part of Islam. without faith our deeds are useless. the faith of person keeps increasing decreasing depending upon his activities. Lets have a look at some of the thing which may reduce your Imaan:

Not Offering Salah: If you do not offer Salah then it effect your Imaan. Offering Salah gives our soul and faith a new power. So we should try to offer Salah regularly and it should be offered with full concentration without any hurry.

Doing any type of sins: doing sins of any type also directly effect your Emaan. no matter its lying, backbiting or jealousy.

Not doing Zikr of Allah: doing Zikr of Allah SWT regularly boosts up our Imaan and not doing it certainly reduces it.

Not giving Importance to Sunnah: Giving Importance to sunnah acts is really Important. you should love each sunnah and try to follow it.

Becoming too much materialistic: when you became materialistic then you start giving more Importance to wealth and not your Imaan. your Imaan should be your first preference over wealth.

Not feeling pain of others: those who don't feel pain of others and try to help them in their hard times their Imaan also starts to fall.

Not Reciting the Quran: If you have stopped reciting the Quran and read it with understanding then it will also cause danger to your Imaan.

Bad company: Sitting with bad people who don't follow Allah SWT and his Messenger SAW will also make your Emaan to reduce. your company should be good.

Freedom of Speech, Terrorism and Islamophobia

after the attack on French Magazine last week we are hearing a lot about Freedom of speech, Terrorism and Homophobia. So I also decided to share my view point on this Issue. First of all I would like to write about freedom of expression and speech.

Can we Insult, mock anyone in name of Freedom of speech? how we can hurt feelings of billions of people keeping in mind that religion is a very sensitive issue specially for Muslims. Muslims see religion very differently from how West looks at it. For Muslims God and his Holy Prophet SAW are most Important even more Important than their lives so how they can accept their Insult silently?

suppose you are walking on a road with your mother and a hooligan starts abusing your mother. will you not react and try to stop him? or you will tell him you have freedom of expression so you can abuse your mother.  this is why Freedom of expression and speech should come with responsibility.

Now I will discuss the Issue of terrorism. should we take law in our hand if someone disrespects they Holy Prophet SAW and  kill them? I don't think so. Instead we should take help of the law. In french attack even those people got killed who has nothing to do with blasphemous cartoons Including a Muslim Police officer. Islam strictly prohibits killing any Innocent human being.

Islamophobia is also on the rise as many haters of Islam and using TV and social media to spread hatred against Muslims. some people are even demanding that all Billions of Muslims should apologize for what 3 people done in France. these Islam haters also  trended the Killallmuslims hashtag on Twitter. Muslims living in West are also facing tough time as many Mosques and Women got attacked.
